A nonprofit organization, they focus on saving animals slated for euthanasia and educating people about proper pet care, including exotic pets. Dr. Jay Johnson has been helping with the shelters vast medical needs since January 2010. Michelle Ramos, Director of Education, said “Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA has partnered with Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital for the care of our exotic pets used in educational programs. Our relationship with the staff at AZEAH has been a great experience. They always go above and beyond to meet our needs. This is why we were thrilled when Dr. Johnson offered to help us until we could find another veterinarian. Without such generous partnership the life saving work we do at AAWL & SPCA Would not be possible.”
